陳祺博士於從美國加州大學爾灣分校取得博士學位,之後在日本理化學研究所(RIKEN)進行博士後研究。陳祺博士致力於將原子力顯微鏡(AFM),及掃描隧道顯微鏡(STM)與光學技術相結合,以近場光學(SNOM)解析各種材料在奈米尺度的光譜特性。
陳祺副研究員的研究涵蓋近場光學儀器開發、基礎近場光學原理,以及對各類硬物質/軟物質材料的光譜成像與分析。在其研究生涯實現了所有的近場光學模式:a-SNOM、s-SNOM、STM-EL、和TERS,而且都達到歷來文獻中數一數二的光學解析度,以及超高品質的近場光學影像。
自2013年在應科中心任職以來,陳祺實驗室成功開發水平式的SNOM儀器,從自製AFM加上全套可移動式顯微鏡光路系統,又發展了自製近場探針的製程,至今在大氣環境、氮氣手套箱、及水中有三套穩定度極佳的完整近場光學系統,均可成功實現近場螢光和近場吸收光譜和影像,成為研究二維材料的激子性質和奈米材料光譜研究的強大工具。
近來,陳祺博士也在AFM和SNOM儀器上加入電路,除了量測各種材料微觀的導電特性,更是專注於電致放光和局域光電流成像,希望延伸近場光學結合電性來研究各種低維度材料的微觀光電轉換。
