陳培菱教授目前擔任應用科學中心研究員專精於生醫材料與生物影像技術開發。他的研究興趣聚焦於奈米醫學領域尤其致力探討奈米粒子與腫瘤之間的交互作用。他們的研究團隊致力開發多種奈米粒子與影像工具以深入了解奈米粒子到達及累積在腫瘤的機制。陳教授畢業於美國加州大學爾灣分校並獲得化學博士過去數年陳教授已應邀在國際會議發表超過七十場演講包括全體大會與主題演講並主辦超過二十場國際研討會。

陳培菱教授的研究團隊開發的即時雙光子活體影像技術在相關領域受到高度肯定。他們協助多位醫師透過動物疾病模型深入理解疾病機制並透過量化藥物載體在不同疾病模型中的分佈情形協助優化藥物遞送效率展現學術研究成果直接促進醫療實務應用的效益。

近年來陳培菱教授已主導超過四項跨領域合作研究計畫。身為計畫總主持人陳教授成功促進不同領域專家的深度交流與合作。此外為推廣奈米醫學研究發展陳教授共同創立台灣奈米醫學學會並擔任常務監事;同時擔任台灣奈米科技產業發展協會副理事長以及位於新加坡之亞洲奈米論壇執行委員積極推動奈米技術的產業化及國際合作。身為導師陳教授已指導十位研究生培育未來奈米科技人才。
