董奕鍾博士現任中央研究院應用科學研究中心研究員,自2009年加入中央研究院起致力於跨領域生醫研究。在加入中央研究院應用科學研究中心之前,董博士於美國密西根大學安娜堡分校生物醫學工程學系擔任博士後研究員(2006–2009),並於2005年獲得該校機械工程博士學位。董博士的研究貢獻廣受國際肯定,榮獲多項學術殊榮,包括2020–2022年度全球前2%頂尖科學家(單年度影響力)、2018年科技部傑出年輕學者研究計畫、2016年中央研究院前瞻計畫,以及2014年科技部吳大猷紀念獎。此外,他於2016年獲選為英國皇家化學學會(Royal Society of Chemistry, RSC)分析領域前 10% 高被引作者。董博士的研究專注於微流體細胞培養與分析、生醫儀器開發、以及先進微/奈米製造技術以推動生醫科技創新。他亦與國內外頂尖醫院及機構,如美國俄亥俄州立大學及波士頓大學,建立合作夥伴關係,推動生醫研究發展。目前,其實驗室正積極研發自動化與智慧化生醫儀器,以提升生醫研究效能,特別聚焦於癌症與神經科學相關議題。
